When it comes to mass of the disc, there are different mass ranges for types of frisbees, within the frisbee type they also have a speed range. Putters have speed ranges from 1 to 3 are heavier by about 10 grams compared to midrange discs which have a speed of about 4 to 9. Drivers have the lowest mass at about 155 grams and have speed rankings of 10 to 13, which can travel at about a distance of 300 feet.

 

Masses of the disc and travel of the disc is all about the mass times gravity. If the mass is more then it won't travel the same distance as a disc with less mass.
